Solar Ongrid System

Solar on grid system is a grid tied system where your solar system is installed parallel to your existing electricity grid, hence after going solar you will be having two sources of electricity one is your electricity provider and second is solar. When the sun is shining during the day time you will use electricity from your solar panels to run your appliances and the surplus energy will be fed in the utility grid (export), but when the sun is not shining (at night and during monsoon) you will pull electricity from the utility grid (import) the same way you do before going solar. Hence after installing solar on grid system you will get electricity bill only for the excess units that you are borrowing from the grid (import – export).

Solar Offgrid System

Offgrid solar system is a type of standalone solar system that is used to generate electricity for homes, cabins and other locations that are not connected to the traditional power grid. An offgrid solar system consists of solar panels, batteries to store energy, an inverter to convert energy from DC to AC, a charge controller, cables, and support structures. Offgrid solar systems allow you to generate and store clean, renewable energy, allowing you to stay independent from traditional power sources. Offgrid solar systems are often used to power medical clinics and schools located in remote areas that may not be connected to the local electricity grid. Offgrid solar systems can also be used to provide supplemental energy to grid-tied systems, or to serve as the primary energy source for a home or other remote location.

Solar Hybrid System

A hybrid system is when your solar panels remain connected to the grid’s power lines and have a backup battery system to store excess power. The sun’s energy absorbed by the solar panels goes through an inverter to create usable electricity. From there, electricity either goes to your home, to your battery, or to the grid. The benefit of a hybrid solar system is that you will always have power in any situation. With a backup battery, the excess energy that your solar panels create (but your home does not use), will be stored in this battery. Then, when the sun is not shining, this battery will provide your power during the night, system blackouts, or inclement weather. With a hybrid solar system, if you were to use up all the power in your battery, you have the ability to draw power from the electrical grid.
